For bilingual families who carry more than one language home

Every family has a story worth telling

Gentle, guided conversations that help you honor your elders—their memories, their voice, the words only they remember. Nothing to install. Nothing to rush. Just room for what matters.

This app was built for families like mine

I grew up in the echo between two places—where my grandparents held whole childhoods in a language I understood only in pieces. At the kitchen table they told jokes I laughed at too late, sang songs I couldn’t quite translate, and carried names for streets I will never walk. I always meant to sit longer, ask better, write things down. Time did what time does. Storied is my quiet answer to that ache: a way for families like ours to slow the moment, to meet each other across the gap between tongues, and to keep a little of them here—with us—before the stories slip quietly away.

Made for the in-between places—where love and language meet

Guided interviews

Thoughtful prompts walk alongside you so no one has to wonder what to ask next—especially when two languages weave through the same room.

Voices preserved

Capture tone, laughter, and the way they say a name. These are the details albums can’t hold on their own.

The language between you

When generations don’t share the same first tongue, love still does—but the right words can be hard to find. Storied helps you bridge that gap: gentle prompts and translation support so you can ask with respect, listen in their language, and hold onto what they meant—even on the days you couldn’t have said it yourself.

Built for families

Share listening, share asking, share keeping—so grandchildren someday hear the story in more than one tongue.

A quiet path from question to keepsake

  1. Begin together

Choose a session that fits your elder’s energy—a short visit or a longer afternoon. You set the pace.

  2. Follow the gentle prompts

Storied suggests questions that open doors: childhood streets, songs, recipes, the words they still say in the old language.

  3. Save what stays with you

Record or write as you go. What you gather becomes a living archive your family can return to, year after year.
